Garage Door, Gate & Access Control Systems
Supplying and installing the best names in garage doors, we offer a complete supply and installation facility, after sales maintenance and a spares and repairs service. We are fully experienced in the automation of existing manually operated garage doors and use the latest and best technology. Maintenence agreements are also available which means that we ensure that your garage door is free from mechanical problems. We have an extensive range of designs to choose from and doors are available in steel, timber and GRP with prices to suit every pocket. We also house a large selection of operational garage doors at our Pound Lane depot and customers are welcome to view prior to purchase. Gates are manufactured on the premises to individual specification and are available with both manual and automatic operation. Using the best in BFT products, access control systems can be put in place to prevent vehicular/pedestrian trespassing with a variety of operating options available.
Bollards, Barriers & Perimeter Protection
Usually seen on the forecourts of commercial businesses/car dealerships, we supply, install and maintain Rhino bollards and barriers. These are available as static or retractable applications and can be galvanised and powder coated in any standard RAL colour. Steel hoop barriers are also available as both permanent and detachable fixtures. Strong and virtually unyielding upon impact, Rhino bollards and barriers have been aclaimed with the Sold Secure award; an accolade which is widely recognised by the Police.
Domestic and Commercial Awnings & Parasols
In conjunction with Markilux, we are pleased to be the suppliers and installers of probably the best name in awnings and parasols for both the domestic and commercial sectors. Literally providing 'new living space in the open air', Markilux awnings come with a host of complimentary features such as intermittent halogen spotlights and energy saving integrated heaters. With manual or automatic operation available, what better way to make the most of those balmy summer evenings? Sun sensors are cleverly incorporated to automatically extend or retract according to the weather conditions. Using a revolutionary fabric with a minimum UV protection of 50, the choice of styles and patterns is extensive. For events which call for a larger number of people to be under cover (fetes, garden parties etc), bar lounges are available for hire. Commercial branding is a facility available for hotels, bars and cafes and provides a bold statement for businesses wishing to publicise themselves.
Geotechnical Products & Services
With a shortage of available land to build upon, builders and developers are keen to make the most of less suitable ground and are redeveloping sites that were previously considered unsuitable. Our geotechnical products range from materials for the construction of retaining walls to steel shutters for use in the formation of grass banks and slope repair, thus preventing slope movement or erosion. The choice of a retaining wall solution depends on a number of factors including the steepness of the slope, the underlying soil conditions and the precise purpose of the wall. Our in-house engineer is available to advise on all of these points. Special purpose built formwork shutters are available to hire with delivery to all parts of the UK, Europe, North Africa & the Middle East..
Heavy structural fabrication & erection
Instrumental in the provision and erection of the structural steel required for the Exmouth Lifeboat Station and other clients including J D Wetherspoon, Character Homes and Plymouth Albion Rugby Club, steel framed buildings and other commercial developments are areas in which our experience in fabrication is second to none. For the building trade, we supply RSJ's, universal beams and columns for use in loft conversions and roof structures. Flitch plates, angle iron and box section are also available.
General steel, stainless & aluminium fabrication
For the domestic sector we are fully skilled in the manufacture of balconies, fire escapes, railings and balustrade. All of our steel products can be galvanised, hot dipped or powder coated in all of the standard RAL colours. Balconies can be produced in stainless steel with toughened glass panels or the less functional, but certainly decorative Juliet balconies can also be created in house. Swift Industries also produce steel/aluminium for the marine, automotive and catering services. From traditional to contemporary, we are a company that welcomes challenges so don't worry if your idea is a little adventurous; we don't scare easily!!
StruCad steel detailing services
With a highly sophisticated StruCad system in house we are able to undertake more intricate projects where the execution of exact positioning is paramount, thus enabling the builder or developer to apply the correct specifications to the job in hand. The drawings also specify requirements intended for work in the field such as welding and bolting.
